The Flathead Lacrosse Club is a non-profit organization. Our goal is to provide a lacrosse program for the lowest possible cost per player. In order to make this possible we rely on parent volunteers.
Each team will need several volunteers prior to scheduling games for the season. Referee and coach training can begin immediately and clinics are beginning in January and Feburary. Please make sure these positions are filled so each team can play games this season.
Referees: We do need local referees to make games possible in the Flathead Valley. There are extensive training programs available to provide the knowledge necessary to become a referee. We cannot play lacrosse without referees. Referee training information is available here.
Coaches: Each team will need two coaches that are US Lacrosse Certified. The certification process can be started now. Please learn how to become a certified lacrosse coach on our coach training page.
Team Manager: Every team will need a team manager. This person will be responsible for communications and organization of one team. This is a great job for the organized parent that wants to help out the program. There are several duties that will need to be delegated out to other people that would like to help. Accounting: We need a parent volunteer that can manage the budget for the program. This will involve monitoring incoming due payments and balancing needs of each team with the current bank balance.
Website Maintenance: Maintain and update the Flathead Lacrosse Website as needed. Team managers will be able to assist with website management.
